Patti Sarvis-Horowitz was born and raised in Tallahassee, Fl. Upon graduating from Florida State University, with a Master’s Degree in Social Work, she focused on counseling for individuals with histories of trauma and mental illness. Patti has worked in both the non-profit and the private sector. While in private practice, she provided family and couples therapy, trauma and conflict resolution. Patti assisted families with both domestic and international adoptions, and provided contract services with the Department of Children and Families. Patti currently holds certifications as a Victim Advocate and a Family Mediator. As an adoptions counselor, Patti brings 25 years of experience working with children and families, and possesses a unique understanding of the sensitive nature and array of emotions that families experience during the adoption process.
