Through the planning process, we’ll help you decide what kind of adoption you want, whether open, closed, or semi-open, what you’ll need both physically and mentally, and how to stay safe and healthy until the baby is born. We want you to feel prepared and ready to advocate for yourself and your needs.

What usually happens is that the adoptive family will be at the hospital for the birth and will leave with the baby. You’ll have 48 hours to sign the papers making the adoption official. You’re not obligated to let them in the room during the birth if you don’t want to, and in that 48 hours, you do have the right to change your mind. But once the papers are signed, it’s done, and you’ll be able to start moving forward and focusing on your own goals for the future. We understand how difficult it can be to choose adoption, which is why it’s a great idea to make goals and plan ahead. Doing this can help you through the grieving process and enable you to achieve things you might not have been able to do otherwise.
