What is Adoption Intervention?

If a birth parent has children who are in the custody of the foster care system and have not had their parental rights involuntarily terminated, they can voluntarily sign a consent for adoption and have their child placed in a permanent adoptive home. The birth parent will have the right to choose the adoptive family and may receive updates, pictures, and letters from the family in an open or semi-open adoption plan. A birth parent might not be in a position to parent but they still deserve the right to choose where their child grows up.
